Terms of Service

These terms set the rules for using Mesh Rust servers, the store, and our website.

By accessing any Mesh Rust service, you acknowledge and accept these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please discontinue use of the services immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms govern your access to Mesh Rust's game servers, website, and store. By accessing or making use of any part of the platform — including browsing the website, connecting to a game server, or completing a purchase — you confirm your agreement to comply with all conditions set out here in their entirety. If you are under the age of 13, you may not use our services.

2. Fair Use and Conduct

All users are expected to interact with our services in good faith and in accordance with applicable law. The following are strictly prohibited:
  • Violating any local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Exploiting bugs, using cheats, or running unauthorized third-party tools
  • Directing abuse, threats, or harassment toward other users or staff
  • Distributing malicious software or deliberately disrupting server operations
  • Impersonating Mesh Rust staff members or other users
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or data
  • Engaging in any activity that could expose Mesh Rust to legal liability

3. Accounts

You are responsible for ensuring your registration details remain accurate and up to date. Keep your credentials secure and do not share access with others. You bear full responsibility for all activity conducted under your account and must notify us without delay if you suspect any unauthorized use. Mesh Rust reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion, including for violations of these Terms, without prior notice or liability.

4. Purchases and Refunds

All transactions are considered final upon completion. Exceptions may be considered only in the following circumstances:
  • An item was not delivered due to a technical failure on our end
  • A charge was processed more than once for the same order
  • A verified service outage persisted for more than 48 continuous hours

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase. All decisions rest entirely at our discretion. For full details, see the Refund Policy tab. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; by purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.

5. Server Rules

Breaching server rules may result in consequences including but not limited to temporary or permanent suspension, forfeiture of in-game entitlements, restricted access to platform features, or full account termination. Server rules are posted in our Discord and are subject to change. No refunds will be issued as a result of enforcement actions taken against your account.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and functionality within Mesh Rust's services are owned by Mesh Rust and protected under applicable intellectual property law. Reproduction, adaptation, or redistribution of any materials without explicit written permission is not permitted. Rust™ is a trademark of Facepunch Studios; Mesh Rust is an independent community server operator and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Facepunch Studios.

7. Privacy and Data

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This may include gameplay telemetry, chat records, and technical data collected for the purposes of operating, securing, and improving our services. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mesh Rust shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of in-game progress, or loss of profits — arising from use of or inability to use our services. In all cases, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding any claim.

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law to the fullest extent permitted. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services should first be directed to us through our Discord support channel. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the relevant courts of competent jurisdiction. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit against Mesh Rust.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Continuing to use the services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

This Privacy Policy applies to all services operated by Mesh Rust, including our game servers, website, and store. By using any of these services, you agree to the data practices described below. This policy applies regardless of where you are located.

  • Steam and Discord identifiers, usernames, and linked profile information
  • Contact information provided when reaching out for support
  • Payment-related metadata used to process and verify transactions
  • Support messages and communications submitted to our team
Gameplay and Service Data
  • In-game statistics, inventories, and session activity logs
  • Chat content where necessary for moderation and community safety
  • Group affiliations and participation history within our servers

  • Operating and improving our servers, store, and account features
  • Completing payments, verifying purchases, and preventing fraud or abuse
  • Enforcing our rules and maintaining a safe community environment
  • Responding to support requests and resolving issues
  • Sending necessary service-related notices (not marketing)
  • Analyzing usage patterns to improve server performance and game balance
  • Satisfying any applicable legal obligations

4. When We Share

We do not sell or rent your personal data. Information may be disclosed in the following circumstances only:
  • Service Providers: With third-party processors who support our infrastructure, payments (Stripe), or analytics — bound by their own privacy obligations
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Mesh Rust or others
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, with appropriate confidentiality obligations
  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly request or authorize a specific disclosure
  • Public By Design: Leaderboard entries, in-game statistics, or other information you voluntarily make public through gameplay

5. Security Measures

Encryption
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest where appropriate and technically feasible.
Access Controls
Sensitive systems use restricted storage with audited access limited to authorized personnel.

No security system is infallible. We focus on layered protections and a prompt response if an incident occurs. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
  • Essential: Required for authentication, session management, and core site functionality
  • Performance: Analytics and diagnostic tools that help us understand how the site is used

  • Logs and analytics data are generally retained for 12–24 months before deletion

Upon request, we will delete personal data that we are not legally required to retain.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your personal data where we have no legal obligation to retain it
  • Request a portable copy of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain types of data processing

9. Children

Our services are not directed toward or intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately so we can identify and delete that data.

10. International Transfers

Mesh Rust operates infrastructure that may be located in multiple countries. Your data may be processed or stored outside of your country of residence. Where such transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is protected in accordance with this policy and applicable data protection law.

Refunds are limited and assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please review the conditions below carefully before making a purchase. All sales are considered final by default.

1. Our Policy

Due to the digital and immediately deliverable nature of our products, all sales are treated as final once a transaction has been completed and delivery confirmed. We encourage you to review all items carefully before purchasing. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and accept this policy.

2. Eligibility

A refund may be considered only in the following verified circumstances:
  • The purchased item was not delivered due to a confirmed technical fault on our side
  • Your payment was charged more than once for the same order in error
  • A service outage on our infrastructure lasted more than 48 consecutive hours, directly preventing access to your purchase

All other situations are treated as non-refundable. Eligibility does not guarantee approval; all decisions are made at our sole discretion.

3. Timeframe

Submission Window
Requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase.
Processing Time
Approved refunds are typically processed within 3–10 business days depending on your payment provider.

Requests received outside the 7-day window will not be reviewed under any circumstances.

4. Exclusions

Refunds will not be issued in the following situations:
  • Change of mind, buyer's remorse, or dissatisfaction with in-game experience
  • Account bans, mutes, or other enforcement actions resulting from rule violations
  • Consumable or time-limited items that have already been used or partially used
  • Outages or service disruptions outside of our direct control (e.g., ISP issues, third-party platform outages)
  • Failure to read or understand item descriptions before purchasing
  • Items purchased on behalf of another person or account

5. How to Request

To submit a refund request, open a support ticket in our Discord server and provide the following:
  • Your Steam ID and Discord username
  • Proof of purchase — order ID, date of purchase, and the item(s) affected
  • A clear description of the issue, what you expected to happen, and any troubleshooting steps already taken

Incomplete requests may be declined or delayed. We reserve the right to request additional information before making a decision.

6. Processing

  • Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout
  • Approval may require identity verification and submission of additional evidence
  • Processing time varies by payment provider — typically 3–10 business days after approval
  • Refund amounts will not include any applicable fees charged by the payment provider

7. Chargebacks

Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us through the proper support channel may result in an immediate suspension of your access to all Mesh Rust services while the dispute is under investigation. We will provide full evidence to the payment provider regarding item delivery and account activity. Accounts found to have filed fraudulent chargebacks may be permanently banned. We strongly encourage resolving any concerns through our support team before initiating a dispute with your bank or payment provider.
